Spam Wars, A New Hope

I directly contacted a company whom I suspect that has been posting unwanted comments on my blogsite , Six Three Zero and so far I haven't heard back from them either by phone or by email. Not that I'm hugely surprised but I am at least happy about the fact they haven't put any more unwanted comments on my blog either.

I have gone as far as tracking down other bloggers who have had their sites similarly affected by Six Three Zero or their malware spam bot "Helena" and told each person affected to phone the company directly and tell Six Three Zero to stop their attacks and to stop now.

I'm hoping this will be the end of things but just in case I have contacted Google and have let them know that Six Three Zero has been a direct source of spam attacks.

Perhaps guided by inner pain in the ass I was able to do a little more digging and I found the Linkedin profile of the owner of Six Three Zero. In some ways it reminds me of a lot of people who have hopped onto the bicycle as fashion accessory bandwagon such as Paul Frank , Robert ForbesVon Franco, Paul Budnitz and whatever jackass is designing these pieces of crap

I can't help but think that there's something deeply cynical about fashion designers cashing in on bikes especially seeing how car companies are doing the same thing.

I'm reasonably sure that most of those bikes will, at a minimum, not kill you if you ride them but I'd much rather buy a bike put together by some dude named Steve, or Sean or Curtis, or Rick or Bruce than the  people listed above because at a the very least they are committed to making the very best bikes they can.

Like a lot of riders my passion is disproportionately higher than my income and as a result most of my bikes come from some grimy factory from Taiwan and rhyme with the word "swirly".  Yeah... I'm not too happy about buying bikes from a country that gives fuck all about workers rights or environmental regulations but I'm devastatingly handsome and smart, not a rich self absorbed asshat seeking validation in big ticket items.
